The iron daughter review

What's it about?
My name is Meghan Chase. Half Summer faery princess, half human, Meghan has never fit in anywhere. Deserted by the Winter prince she thought loved her, she is prisoner to the Winter faery queen. As war looms between Summer and Winter, Meghan knows that the real danger comes from the Iron fey - ironbound faeries that only she and her absent prince have seen. But no one believes her. Worse, Meghan's own fey powers have been cut off. She's stuck in Faery with only her wits for help. Trusting anyone would be foolish. Trusting a seeming traitor could be deadly. But even as she grows a backbone of iron, Meghan can't help but hear the whispers of longing in her all-too-human heart.

My review:
4/5
Once again Kagawa writes a beautiful world I'd love to visit, filled with different and interesting people/creatures. Although it wasn't a can't-put-it-down book for me I still enjoyed it a lot and find the story and writing flows easily. I still find Meaghan to be an enjoyable, selfless chracter, even if she does seem to cry a lot and is quite naive at times. I also really like the new alliance/friendship she has with an unlikely chracter. Ash is still smouldering and sexy, just how I like him lol and Puck is still his mischivous self! So all in all, a great sequel with a great ending. Looking forward to reading The Iron Queen
